Two Arrested In Alleged Theft And Getaway Where Child Was Ejected From SUV

FALMOUTH (CBS) -- Two people have been arrested in connection with an alleged robbery and  child endangerment case, according to Falmouth police.

Lisa Degerolamo and Daniel McLaughlin, both of West Yarmouth, face charges including reckless endangerment and larceny.

Degerolamo is believed to be involved in a flat screen TV theft, during which the couple's 5-year-old son was ejected from an SUV Sunday afternoon, according to officials.

The incident unfolded in a Wal-Mart parking lot, where a vehicle was taking off with a stolen TV inside, police say. As the SUV fled the scene, the child fell out through an unsecured door left open because of the size of the flat screen TV.

Police said bystanders tried to intervene, but the driver returned to pick up the child and leave the area.

Police located the boy Sunday evening and was in good health.
