1 Dead, 1 Seriously Injured In Crash On I-495
CHELMSFORD (CBS) – One person died and another was seriously injured following a head-on crash on Interstate 495 in Chelmsford.

Around 6:40 a.m., the driver of a 2000 Ford Focus was driving on I-495 South when, for unknown reasons, they crossed the median and slammed into a 2017 Toyota Camry on the northbound side of the road near Exit 33.
The driver of the Ford Focus was declared dead at the scene. An ambulance transported the driver of the Toyota Camry to Lahey Clinic with serious injuries.
All travel lanes on 495 North were closed for reconstruction following the crash, but opened back up just before 9:30 a.m.
