Charlton Fire Tears Through Commercial Garage

CHARLTON (CBS) -- It took 70 firefighters and EMS workers to get a fire in a commercial garage under control early Wednesday morning, the Charlton Fire Department said.

The blaze began shorty after midnight in the four-bay garage on Griffin Road.

Neighboring communities were brought in to help fight the fire.

Officials said the fire was under control around 1:20 a.m., and Charlton firefighters stayed on scene until mid-morning.

The cause of the fire was not yet known.
