Keller @ Large: Baker Talks Best, Worst Decisions As Governor

BOSTON (CBS) -- Nearly one year after he was elected governor, Gov. Charlie Baker sat down with WBZ political analyst Jon Keller to look back on his first few months in office.

Baker was asked to identify his best and worst decisions as governor, and started off by highlighting his commitment to appointing a bipartisan cabinet.

"I didn't pay a lot of attention to the letters that came at the end of people's names, I was just looking for the best person for the job," he said.

His worst decision? Not stepping in sooner when record-setting snow started to take its toll on the MBTA.

"I wish I had gotten into it sooner," Baker said. "I think I waited too long to reach out to the former general manager of the T, Bev Scott."

Keller also asked Baker why no one has been fired following two reports that are critical of the Department of Children's Families handling of an abuse case in Hardwick and the death of Bella Bond.

You can listen to Keller At Large on WBZ News Radio every weekday at 7:55 a.m. You can also watch Jon on WBZ-TV News.
