Chara, Rask Make NHL's First All-Star Team; Krug Makes All-Rookie Team

BOSTON (CBS) -- Patrice Bergeron and Tuukka Rask took home some important hardware Tuesday night at the NHL Awards, but that was not the end of the Bruins' earning honors.

Both captain Zdeno Chara as well as Rask were named to the NHL's First All-Star Team for their outstanding seasons with the Black and Gold.

The team was voted on by members of the Pro Hockey Writers' Association at the conclusion of the regular season.

For Chara, it's his first time on the First Team since 2008-09, and for Rask, it's his first career appearance. Earlier on Tuesday, Rask was named the Vezina Trophy winner as the league's best goaltender, while Chara finished second for the Norris Trophy, which is given to the defenseman who demonstrates the best all-around ability in the position.

The complete First All-Star Team is:

G Tuukka Rask, Boston Bruins
D Duncan Keith, Chicago Blackhawks
D Zdeno Chara, Boston Bruins
LW Jamie Benn, Dallas Stars
C Sidney Crosby, Pittsburgh Penguins
RW Corey Perry, Anaheim Ducks

The honors didn't end there, either, as defenseman Torey Krug was named to the 2013-14 All-Rookie Team.

Krug, who turned 23 in April, led all rookie defensemen with 14 goals, 26 assists, six power-play goals and 13 power-play assists. He is the first Bruin to be named to the All-Rookie Team since Brad Boyes in 2005-06 and the first B's blue-liner since Nick Boynton in 2001-02.

The complete All-Rookie Team for 2013-14 is:

G Frederik Andersen, Anaheim Ducks
D Torey Krug, Boston Bruins
D Hampus Lindholm, Anaheim Ducks
F Ondrej Palat, Tampa Bay Lightning
F Nathan McKinnon, Colorado Avalanche
