Chainsaw Accident Sends Wayland Tree Cutter To Hospital

WAYLAND (CBS) - A 31-year-old worker on a tree cutting detail in Wayland was rushed to the hospital Friday morning after he accidentally cut his arm with a chainsaw.

According to Massachusetts State Police, Trooper Dan Cahill was protecting the detail on Boston Post Road when it happened. Cahill put a tourniquet on the man's arm before Wayland firefighters and EMS arrived.

Police say the man's injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
