Celtics Rookie Guard Terry Rozier Assigned To D-League

BOSTON (CBS) – The Celtics have sent their first pick in this year's draft to work on his game in the NBA Developmental League.

Rookie guard Terry Rozier, drafted 16th overall out of Louisville, was assigned to the Maine Red Claws, the Celtics announced on Saturday.

Rozier is averaging 1.8 point and 1.6 rebounds per tilt in five games this year with the Celtics. He averaged just 8.8 minutes per contest.

Boston next takes on Oklahoma in a road game on Sunday at 7 p.m.
