Smart Expected To Be OK After Dislocating Two Fingers In Summer League Action
BOSTON (CBS) - It was a scary scene for Celtics point guard Marcus Smart during Thursday night's Summer League playoff game.
Smart suffered a pair of dislocated fingers on his right hand, his index and middle fingers, but it appears it's not a serious injury. The injury occurred as Smart chased down a rebound in the second quarter of Boston's 91-85 win over the Portland Trail Blazers..
The Celtics said initial X-rays on Smart's hand were negative and he should be OK. Smart termed the ailment as "minor setback" on Twitter:

In his five games in the Las Vegas Summer League, Smart is averaging 16 points and 4.2 assists per contest. He had seven points in nine minutes of play before leaving Thursday night's win.
With Thursday's win over the Blazers, the two-seeded Celtics will now play the San Antonio Spurs in the Las Vegas quarterfinals on Saturday.
