Celtics Reportedly Sign Amir Johnson; Re-Sign Jonas Jerebko

BOSTON (CBS) -- The Boston Celtics have reportedly signed free agent forward Amir Johnson.

The deal is reportedly for two years and $24 million.

The 6-foot-9, 240-pound Johnson is a solid player, and at 28 is entering his prime. He has been in the NBA for 10 years, splitting his time between the Detroit Pistons and Toronto Raptors, averaging 7.6 points and 5.7 rebounds per game. He's a good defender that will do the dirty work in the paint, something the Celtics lacked last season.

Johnson averaged 9.3 points on 57 percent shooting and 6.1 rebounds per game last season for Toronto, starting 72 of the 75 games he appeared in. He also has a bit of touch from downtown, hitting 41 percent of his shots from three-point range.

The Celtics also reportedly agreed to re-sign forward Jonas Jerebko, who averaged 7.1 points and 4.8 rebounds per game for Boston after being acquired from the Pistons at the trade deadline.

Jerebko's deal is reportedly worth $10 million over two years.
