Celtics' Marcus Smart Chosen For USA Basketball Select Team

BOSTON (CBS) -- USA Basketball has chosen Celtics point guard Marcus Smart to join a select team of 25 players to practice against Team USA ahead of this summer's Olympics in Rio.

San Antonio Spurs head coach Gregg Popovich will coach the select team during next month's training camp in Las Vegas as it trains against the Olympic team, which will again be coached by Duke's Mike Krzyzewski.

The select team features seven members of the 2015-16 NBA All-Rookie teams, including Philadelphia 76ers center Jahlil Okafor and Minnesota Timberwolves big man Karl-Anthony Towns, and fellow point guards D'Angelo Russell of the Los Angeles Lakers and Emmanuel Mudiay of the Utah Jazz.
