Celtics' Jae Crowder Likely Out Vs. Warriors; Horford A Game-Time Decision

BOSTON (CBS) -- Jae Crowder is not expected play against Kevin Durant and the Golden State Warriors on Friday night.

But Al Horford might.

According to Jeff Goodman of ESPN, the Celtics have already ruled Crowder out for Friday night's game against the 9-2 Warriors. It will be the eighth straight game Crowder has missed with an ankle injury he suffered back on November 2 in a win over the Chicago Bulls.

Crowder, who called Durant out over the summer after he chose to join the Warriors instead of the Celtics, will miss the superstar's only visit to Boston this season. The Celtics could certainly use him on the floor defending Durant, as the Warriors have averaged 117 points per game to start the season, with Durant pouring in 27.9 of those points.

Horford, meanwhile, has missed the last eight games after suffering a concussion in practice back on October 31. He's been close to a return this past week, participating in shootaround ahead of Wednesday's win over the Mavericks, and Friday night could finally be the night he returns to the floor for Boston.

Tune in to Friday night's Celtics-Warriors game on 98.5 The Sports Hub -- the flagship station of the Boston Celtics. Pregame coverage begins at 7:30pm!
