Isaiah Thomas Wants To Go To Space

BOSTON (CBS) -- Isaiah Thomas has taken his game to a new level this season, making the first All-Star game of his career.

Now the Celtics guard is shooting for the stars themselves.

Thomas, generously listed at 5-foot-9, has said he wants to be the best little man to ever play in the NBA. But he wouldn't mind adding a few inches in height, and now it appears there's a way for the miniature scorer to do so.

Astronaut Scott Kelly returned to earth after a year in space on Tuesday, and did so two inches taller than when he left. So after dropping 30 points against the Portland Trail Blazers in Boston's 116-93 win on Wednesday night, Thomas had some fun with his lack of height on Twitter.

While a few extra inches would be great for the C's scorer, losing him for a year isn't worth it. Thomas, height disadvantage and all, leads the Celtics with 21.7 points per game this season.
