Thomas (Wrist) Misses Practice, But Expects To Play Thursday Vs. Bucks
BOSTON (CBS) -- Isaiah Thomas is a little banged up, but the Celtics' leading scorer said a sore wrist won't keep him out of the lineup Thursday night.
Thomas sat out Wednesday's practice with a swollen left wrist, the same wrist he's had surgery on in each of the past two summers. Thomas said the swelling was a product on some spills he took during Boston's three-game road trip.
"I fell on my wrist a few times and it kind of flared up on me," Thomas told reporters on Wednesday. "Just trying to rest it and get some treatment."
Thomas said he and the team were just being cautious on Wednesday, and was very adamant that he'll be in the lineup when Boston hosts the Milwaukee Bucks on Thursday.
"I'm not sitting out," he said. "I'm playing all 82."
Thomas, Boston's lone All-Star this season, is averaging a team-high 21.6 points off 42 percent shooting.
He isn't the only Celtics' guard recovering after Boston's 1-2 road trip, either. Marcus Smart hurt his thumb on the trip and had his right hand wrapped on Wednesday.
