Danny Ainge Finishes 6th In NBA Executive Of The Year Voting

BOSTON (CBS) -- Celtics president of basketball operations Danny Ainge finished sixth in the voting for the NBA's executive of the year award.

Ainge, who finished in the top seven for the award for the third straight year, received one first-place vote, a pair of second-place votes and two third-place votes for this year's award. He now has a big offseason ahead, armed with draft picks, cap space and tradeable assets on the Boston roster as he tries to make the Celtics a title contender again.

San Antonio's R.C. Bufford won the award for the second time in his career, receiving nine of the 29 first-place votes to beat out Portland's Neil Olshey.
