Celtics @ 7: Danny Ainge Receives 'A' For Trade Deadline Performance

BOSTON (CBS) –  Celtics president of basketball operations Danny Ainge surprised the masses around Boston when he pulled off two trades Thursday, acquiring guard Isaiah Thomas and forwards Jonas Jerebko and Gigi Datome while parting with Marcus Thornton, Tayshaun Prince, and a 2016 first-round pick from Cleveland.

Give Ainge an 'A' for the afternoon.

Saturday's "Celtics @ 7" on 98.5 The Sports Hub was a special post-deadline two-hour edition as host Adam Kaufman was joined throughout the program by CBSBostonSports.com C's writer Brian Robb, along with SB Nation's Paul Flannery.

Kaufman and Robb discussed the trades, what Thomas's addition means for the franchise and how he can help going forward, as well as what the moves say about Ainge's direction down the road. Flannery weighed in the moves as well, plus the other activity around the NBA and what that indicates for the Celts' playoff chances.
