Man Dies After Being Pulled From Water At South Boston's Carson Beach

BOSTON (CBS) - State police said a man pulled from the water at Carson Beach in South Boston has died.

A 52-year-old man was pulled from the water at Carson Beach in South Boston. (WBZ-TV)

Police said William Morant, 52, of Brockton, was unconscious and "in medical distress" when he was pulled from the water a little after 2:30 p.m. Friday.

He was transported to Boston Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.

Police are investigating the cause of the accident.
