Car Smashes Into Tyngsboro House

TYNGSBORO (CBS) -- A car slammed into a Tyngsboro home early Thursday morning, causing extensive damage.

The car was travelling on Pawtucket Boulevard around 1:30 a.m. Thursday when it went off the road and hit the house.

The driver, who was found not to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs, suffered minor injuries. He told police he believed he fell asleep behind the wheel.

He was cited for failing to operate a motor vehicle in marked lanes.

Nobody was home at the time, but the owner of the home was notified and came to the scene, along with the Tyngsboro building inspector.
