Donations Pour In For Canton Girl Killed By Falling Tree Limb

CANTON (CBS) – Donations are pouring in for the family of a 6-year-old Canton girl who was killed by a falling tree limb while playing in the snow.

Kaleigh Kenyon was playing behind her home on Friday afternoon when her brother and father heard a limb snap. The branch fell from about 35 feet up and pinned the girl underneath.

She was taken to an area hospital, but pronounced dead Friday night.

An online fundraising page was created, initially to cover Kaleigh's medical expenses.

After her death, the page was updated to indicate that money raised would go to help the family cover funeral expenses.

As of Saturday night, at least 500 donations totaling more than $21,000 had been raised on the page.
