Canobie Lake's 'Screeemfest' Provides Halloween Scares

SALEM, N.H. (CBS) – All month WBZ-TV's Pamela Gardner has been visiting Halloween events around New England.

She was out late last night visiting Screeemfest at Canobie Lake Park in Salem, N.H.

The park has hundreds of actors whose job is to put a scare into the park's guests.

"We have just under 300 actors here at Canobie Lake's Screeemfest. They're from all over thearea and we've trained them for over the last month being fantastic haunted actors," said Chris Nicoli, marking and entertainment manager at Canobie Lake Park.

Among the guests Pamela Gardner encountered at the park was a group from Pembroke Middle School in New Hampshire.

"It was extreme," one of the students told WBZ-TV.

Admission to the park gets visitors access to rides and haunted houses throughout the night.

Screeemfest is ongoing through Halloween.
