Canadian Sculptor Crowned Winner Of Annual Hampton Beach Sand Competition

HAMPTON, N.H. (CBS) – Canadian sculptor Abe Waterman was crowned the winner of the annual Hampton Beach Sand Sculpting Classic on Saturday.

Judges chose his artwork, called "Empty," as best of this year's competition.

The sculptures were judged based on overall "wow" factor and and technical ability.

First place came with a $6,000 prize.

All the sand sculptures will be on display for one more week.
