Voter Information Mailers Found In Cambridge Trash Can
CAMBRIDGE (CBS) - The postmaster in Cambridge is investigating after a stack of voter information mailers was discovered in the trash.
Cambridge resident Joe Martins says he found the cards in the trash can in his apartment building's mail room. With rumors of voter fraud and suppression, he immediately wondered who would throw away the bundle and why.
"When you actually come across something like this which could be someone taking something into their own hands, it is kind of unsettling," Martins said.
Martins reached out to the Cambridge Election Commission. The Commission released a statement saying in part, "The City is disappointed that the Postal Service failed to deliver on mailing services that we purchased."
"People should be more diligent and just do their job and realize this is a very important election. Any election is important," Martins said.
