Bullet Goes Through TripAdvisor Window In Needham
NEEDHAM (CBS) -- An employee at TripAdvisor in Needham called police early Wednesday morning after someone heard a gunshot.
When police arrived shortly after 7 a.m., they confirmed that a bullet went through a fourth-floor window of the TripAdvisor building next to Route 128.
No one was hurt and Needham police says it appears employees were not within range of being hit. Investigators believe the shot was fired from the outside.
Robin O'Connor lives across the highway, she can see TripAdvisor from her back deck. Police canvassed her neighborhood Wednesday morning. Robin and her husband think they heard the gunshot.
"We heard a bang, it sounded like a car backfiring around seven this morning, we didn't think anything of it didn't see anything out there, then all of a sudden we see helicopters going around the house," O'Connor said.
Police believe it was a random shooting and no one at TripAdvisor was targeted.

Needham police and the Massachusetts State Police ballistics team are investigating.
