BU Students On Alert After Sex Assault

BOSTON (CBS) - Police on the campus of Boston University continue to investigate a reported sexual assault on campus over the weekend.

It happened Sunday morning sometime after 2:00 a.m. in the high rise Student Village 2 dorm near Agannis Arena. The female victim says a man she did not know assaulted her in her own room.

Other students are now on alert. "It's so scary," says BU Student Lauren Hilliard. "I think it's really important to feel safe in the dorms and when we get notice of an attack obviously no one feels very safe."

There's now word BU Police have received several tips and are working to identify the suspect through surveillance video.

Dorm residents think that suspect is a fellow student because it's so hard to get inside without going through security.
