Krejci Scores 100th Goal Of Career: 'It's Just A Number'

BOSTON (CBS) - Boston Bruins forward David Krejci scored the 100th goal of his NHL career Tuesday night, the lone bright spot in Boston's 5-3 loss to the New York Islanders at the TD Garden.

Krejci found the back of the net in 4:25 into the game to reach the milestone, but he wasn't very concerned with it in the Boston dressing room following the loss.

"It's just a number," said Krejci. "Obviously, it's nice to get 100 goals and hopefully there will be 100 more in my career, but it's just a number."

One of Krejci's long-time linemates was a little more open about the career milestone for his center.

"It's a big accomplishment," said Milan Lucic, who along with Krejci has made Boston's top line one of the best in the NHL over the last three years. "It would've been nice to get the win with the 100th goal. He's been playing really well as of late, and he's been real consistent throughout this year and hopefully he can keep it up."
