Brookline Homes Without Power After Tree Crashes Onto Utility Pole

BROOKLINE (CBS) – Some Brookline residents were left without power during a hot and humid night after a tree came crashing down.

A tree took out a utility pole in Brookline, knocking out power to 20 homes. (WBZ-TV)

The tree toppled onto power lines, bringing down the utility pole on Newton Street around 11:30 p.m. Wednesday.

About 20 homes lost power.

The pole will need to be replaced, though crews are working to find a temporary fix.
