Armed Man Shot, Killed By Police In Brockton

BROCKTON (CBS) - A man carrying a knife was shot and killed by police in Brockton Monday afternoon. Officers responded to a home on Overlook Avenue at about 3:00 pm after an 11-year-old called 911 about a domestic dispute.

A neighbor told WBZ he saw a woman come "flying off the front porch" of the home before police arrived.

Plymouth County District Attorney Tim Cruz says the man killed by police was armed. "Upon arrival two Brockton Police officers encountered a male outside of the home armed with a knife," Cruz said. "There was gunfire and the armed man was hit."
