Pedestrian Struck, Killed In Brockton

BROCKTON (CBS) -- A pedestrian was struck and killed early Wednesday morning in Brockton.

Brockton Police said the crash happened shortly after midnight on North Main Street.

The driver of the car that hit the pedestrian, a black Dodge Charger with Ohio plates, stayed on scene, and was cooperating with police. Police did not release the driver's identity.

An accident reconstruction team tested the car's brakes.

The cause of the crash was not yet known.

It was raining at the time of the crash and the roads were wet.

Wednesday afternoon, the man killed in the crash was identified as 42-year-old David Santiago of Brockton.
