Brighton 'Tree Ninja' Caught In The Act - Again, Police Say

BOSTON (CBS) - -Once again, police say they've nabbed the Brighton "Tree Ninja" who won't stop vandalizing trees in the neighborhood.

Joe Rizza, 66, was seen by detectives snapping branches off a tree on private property Monday evening. The incident happened on Peaceable Street, where police were watching him after several recent complaints of tree damage.

Police took Rizza into custody without incident.

Rizza was captured back in April on a similar case that is still being decided in court. Police say he's also the likely culprit in six other incidents of vandalism to trees since then.

He appeared in Brighton District Court Tuesday on charges of willful and malicious destruction of property.
