Brighton Ball Field Gets Its Own Green Monster

BOSTON (CBS) -- Hardiman Field is one of 10 ball fields across the city rehabbed through the Highland Street Foundation's Out of the Park program.

And this field has its own little version of the Green Monster.

Friday served as a dedication day for the park, but the wall has been up long enough for ten year old Damon to take a shot at it.

"I hit it over, and then I was happy," he said. "It hit a car, but it didn't break."

Another boy said he loves aiming for that Green Monster.

"It makes me feel like Pedroia," he said.

Out of the Park is holding another event in September where it will broadcast a Red Sox game on a giant screen in the Boston Common.
