MBTA Fare Increases Start Friday: What You Need To Know
BOSTON (CBS) -- Expect to shell out more money when you ride the T Friday.
The MBTA board voted back in March to increase fares by 9.3 percent, starting on July 1.
Riders will see an increase in most T fares, with the exception of one-time CharlieTicket or cash fares on local buses.
Here's a breakdown of what you should now expect to pay for rides.

The MBTA also says student passes will now be available seven days a week during the academic year.
Student, seniors and people with disabilities should still expect to pay a reduced fare for single rides on rapid transit, commuter rail, local buses, express buses and ferries.
