Police: Speed A Factor In Fatal Braintree Car Crash

BRAINTREE (CBS) -- Investigators say speed was a factor in a car crash in Braintree Sunday night that killed a driver and injured three others.

Police say  Daniel Karimi, 36, with addresses in both Brockton and Washington State, was driving between 90-100 mph on Quincy Ave. when he lost control of the vehicle at a curve.

His vehicle hit an oncoming car carrying two women. That car was forced into two parked cars at the Pan Asia Restaurant. Both women were both hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries.

Karimi's car spun out hitting another car. The driver of that car was also hospitalized.

Karimi was pronounced dead at the scene.

No charges will be filed against the drivers of the other cars involved.
