Boy Injured In Easton Zip Line Accident Dies

EASTON (CBS) – A 10-year-old boy who was injured on a backyard zip line in Easton has died.

The Bristol County District Attorney's office says Matthew Cox died Friday afternoon.

On the day after Christmas, Cox was using a zip line that was tied between two trees. One gave way and collapsed onto him.

The boy, who was visiting family in Easton for the holidays, was rushed to Good Samaritan's Hospital in Brockton before being transferred to Children's Hospital in Boston.

The District Attorney's office says the death is being treated as a tragic accident.
