Little Boy Found Wandering Alone Near I-93 In Dorchester Overnight

BOSTON (CBS) - A young boy was found wandering alone near a highway in Dorchester early Friday morning.

An MBTA employee who performs overnight maintenance work on Red Line signals spotted the child next to the I-93 ramp near the JFK-UMass station at 3:20 a.m., according to MBTA spokesman Joe Pesaturo.

Police and EMS were called in and they took care of the boy, who is said to be 6 or 7 years old.

He was taken to Boston Medical Center for an evaluation.

Boston Police said he was later reunited with his parents and no charges will be filed.

The Department of Children and Families was notified of the incident.

No other information is available at this point in the investigation.
