Tremendous stretch of November weather should bring 4 straight days of 70s

Next Weather: WBZ morning forecast for November 4

By Terry Eliasen, WBZ-TV Meteorologist, Executive Weather Producer

BOSTON - Let the good times roll! Tremendous stretch of November weather ahead.

Thursday will be our "cool" day with highs a mere 5-10 degrees above the average (in the mid 60s).

It looks like we will have 4 consecutive days with highs in the 70s starting Friday.

This would be just the fifth time ever on record with a streak that long in November in Boston.

And it appears nearly a lock that we will set a new record high on Sunday, breaking the record from just 7 years ago.

As for rainfall...there is a slight risk of a passing sprinkle on Sunday, but most areas should stay dry well into next week.

The updated drought monitor came out today with slight improvement from last week.

For those with tickets to the Pats game Sunday...I bet when you bought the tickets way back when you weren't expecting a warm and humid day in November! But that is exactly what we have in store!

A few final thoughts:

Reminder to turn the clocks back at 2 a.m. Sunday. . . so, despite the warm weather Sunday, the sun will be setting around 4:30 p.m.

And next Tuesday is a big day for multiple reasons - A Total Lunar Eclipse AND it is Election Day!

Looks like great weather for both!
