Boston Shuttle Bus Shot At With BB Gun, One Arrested

BOSTON (CBS) -- A possible road rage incident occurred in Boston Friday evening involving a shuttle bus. It was shot at with a BB gun and one person has been arrested in connection with the incident.

The incident happened around 5:20 p.m. Bus driver Darryl Walker said he was taking a left turn near Beverly and Causeway Streets in front of td Garden when two men in a smaller car tried to cut his bus off. That led to an argument through the windows, he said.

"I'm basically spitting at him and next thing I know he goes 'I'm gonna put a cap in your blank blank.' Next thing I know pow pow pow!" Walker said.

The BB gun allegedly shot by the passenger left a dent in Walker's left side window. He then pulled over on Causeway Street and reported the incident.

"He was just trying to be a tough guy," he said. "Tough guys end up two places: dead or in jail. I don't want to be a tough guy!"

Walker drives this route every night and was lucky he had just dropped his passengers off when the fight happened.

Police have arrested a suspect. They have been charged with malicious destruction of property and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon. Police have not identified the suspect.

"You never know what could happen out here," Walker said. "You could be here today, gone today. Because if he had a real gun he could have took me out. Dead and gone."

Walker said he suffered a minor injury trying to avoid the shooter.
