Boston Scientist Who Flew To China While Infected With COVID-19 Spared Jail

BOSTON (CBS) – A former Biogen employee accused of flying to China when she knew she was sick with COVID-19, has been spared jail time.

Investigators said Jie Li, who lived in Belmont while working for Biogen, covered up her symptoms in order to fly.

On Tuesday, a Beijing court gave her a one-year suspended sentence.
