Boston Public Works Ready For Winter With Massive Salt Pile

BOSTON (CBS) – Enjoy your pumpkin beverages while you can. Winter is right around the corner.

There's no better evidence than in Boston, where the city's Department of Public Works recently put the finishing touches on its massive road salt pile.

"Enjoy your mild September days while we prep for snow season," the DPW tweeted this week.

On Saturday, the department shared a photo of the completed mountain.

"The salt pile is ready for winter," Boston Public Works tweeted. "Let's all hope we don't need to use all of it."
