Boston Ranked Among Top Cities For Recent College Graduates

BOSTON (CBS) – With college graduations just weeks away, there will be plenty of job seekers. And according to one ranking, there aren't many better places to look than Boston.

Forbes recently ranked the best cities in the country for new college graduates.

The list factored in millennial population, the number of jobs available, a lifestyle ranking, average rent and unemployment rate.

Boston was ranked No. 5 on the list, behind only Washington, D.C., Minneapolis, Denver, and San Francisco.

According to Forbes, Boston is a good place to be for college graduates with a high number of jobs per 1,000 residents and an unemployment rate of 4.9%.

Boston's median rent of $4,498 for a two-bedroom apartment is higher than D.C., Denver and Minneapolis, though San Francisco is higher at $5,255.
