Boston Public Market Set To Open July 30

BOSTON (AP) — Food vendors have started moving in to Boston Public Market as they get ready for the grand opening of the year-round market later this month.

The market will feature fresh food from local farmers, fishermen and specialty-food producers. Organizers hope to create a marketplace that will let people taste, buy and understand how their food is made, its nutritional value and its impact on the environment.

Located above the Haymarket MBTA station, the market will be open Wednesdays to Sundays, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. It will feature 35 vendors from around New England, including Appleton Farms, Boston Honey Company, Boston Smoked Fish Company and Harlow's Vermont Farmstand.

It opens on July 30.
