Boston Police Officer To Compete On 'Survivor'

BOSTON (CBS) – A police officer who patrols the streets of Boston on a bicycle will be vying for $1 million on the new season of Survivor on CBS.

Boston Police Sgt. Bret LaBelle says he has an advantage because of his time on the job.

"Being a police officer 18 years I'm pretty in tune to when people aren't telling me the truth," LaBelle said in his intro video.

The 42-year-old from Dedham describes himself as gregarious, funny/hilarious, and caring. LaBelle will be on team Gen X and will compete against a team of Millennials.

Season 33 of Survivor premieres Wednesday, September 21 at 8:00 p.m. on WBZ-TV.
