Family Desperately Searching For Man Last Seen At Boston Bar

BOSTON (CBS) -- The family of a 22-year-old from Harvard is desperately searching for him. Zach Marr was last seen outside the Bell in Hand near Faneuil Hall. His family said they have not heard from him in almost 48 hours and that is very unlike him.

"Totally out of character," said Matt Marr, Zach's father.

Marr was celebrating his birthday with his cousins Friday night. He went outside for a smoke. He was without his jacket and texted his cousin the bar was closing and he couldn't get back inside. Amanda Marr, Zach's cousin, said when she went outside within ten minutes he was gone.

After two unanswered phone calls, all calls to Zach went straight to voicemail.

"I knew in my gut something wasn't right," said Amanda Marr.

She worked the phones and Internet trying to find him. She went to nearby businesses to find surveillance video. The last images were taken from the business across from the bar at around 1:40 Saturday morning.

She said Zach is clean-cut. He appeared stressed, but happy.

"Working a full-time - 40 hours a week, going to school full-time - taking five classes and the stress of our grandma passing away," said Amanda.

His family said he's not familiar with Boston and agree he would have reached out to someone by now.

"He's got some street smarts, some survival skills, so I am hoping," said Matt.

They hope he is somewhere warm.

"I just want him to come home," said Amanda.

The family is desperately looking for any information. Monday they will post flyers across the city.

Anyone with information about Marr's whereabouts is asked to call Boston Police or Harvard, Mass. Police.
