Boston Police Arrest Suspect In Church Break-In

BOSTON (CBS) -- An alert Boston Police officer is credited with arresting a suspect in connection with the break-in of a local church.

Security cameras at the Shrine of St. Anthony on Arch Street in Boston captured the burglar early Friday morning, grabbing an iPad and some other equipment the church needs for services.

The suspect was seen on video wearing a blue suit, red tie, and baseball cap.

Sunday morning, an officer spotted 33-year-old Erik Swanson in downtown Boston, wearing the same clothes as the man in the video.

He was arrested and police also retrieved several of the stolen items.

Swanson is facing charges of larceny over $250, vandalism, and breaking and entering at nighttime.
