Islamic Society Of Boston Calls Paris Attacks 'Horrific And Heartbreaking'

BOSTON (CBS) – The Islamic Society of Boston Cultural Center reacted Saturday morning to the deadly Paris attacks, calling the tragedy "simply horrific and heartbreaking."

At least 127 people were killed Friday night and nearly 100 more were seriously injured when terrorists executed a string of coordinated attacks throughout the city.

CBS News reported on Saturday that the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) has claimed responsibility for what it called a "blessed invasion."

Police, residents and religious organizations around the world reacted to the tragedy, including the Islamic Society of Boston.

"Our hearts and prayers are with those in Paris. May God shower His mercy on those who passed, heal those who are wounded and bring his justice to the perpetrators of this horrific act," the group said on Saturday in a statement.
