Boston Firefighters Battle Apartment Fire In Roxbury
BOSTON (CBS) – Boston Firefighters were battling a roof fire at an apartment building in Roxbury Monday night.
Heavy fire was showing on the roof of 27 Wigglesworth Street when firefighters arrived shortly after 10 p.m. The two-alarm fire was knocked down within a half-hour.
The building is a three-story brick building with three apartments. The fire dropped down from a deck on the roof to the top floor apartment.
Witnesses reported hearing an explosion, but it is unclear how the fire started.
There were no injuries reported.
