Daytime Shooting In Downtown Crossing Leaves 1 Hurt

BOSTON (CBS) -- One person is hurt after a daytime shooting in Boston's Downtown Crossing. Sources tell the WBZ-TV I-Team that two suspects got away on scooters.

Police said it happened around 1:45 p.m. on Friday.

The victim's injuries are non-life-threatening. According to sources, the person was shot in the leg.

"It's a real shock," said Boston resident Deb Blair. "This area is never impacted by any kind of violent physical crime, it's usually, if there is something, it's usually down the other way. So it's really unsettling."

Police said they are still investigating. Sources said the shooting is gang-related and the entire incident was caught on surveillance video.

No other information is available at this time.
