Chatham Man Killed, 1 Injured In Boston Crash

BOSTON (CBS) -- One driver was killed and a second was hurt in a two-car crash early Sunday morning.

The crash happened around 12:40 a.m. Sunday when a Volvo went over the guardrail from I-93 near Exit 14 and hit a Honda travelling on Morrissey Boulevard.

Massachusetts State Police identified the driver of the Volvo as Daniel P. Lee, a 50-year-old man from Chatham. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the Honda was identified by State Police as 21-year-old Nurys N. Castillo of Dorchester. She was taken to Boston Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries. A third person, a passenger in the Honda, was not injured.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation.

Morrissey Boulevard was closed until around 5 a.m. Sunday.
