Boston City Hall Evacuated After Bomb Threat

BOSTON (CBS) – Boston City Hall was evacuated Friday afternoon because of a bomb scare. Boston Police said the threat was phoned in after 3 p.m.

Out of an abundance of caution, the building was shut down and employees were asked to leave.

The building was cleared and officers found nothing. The incident is still under investigation.

The threat was made shortly after a moment of silence was held on Boylston Street marking the nine-year anniversary of the Boston Marathon bombing.
