Boston Bruins Bring Halloween Cheer To Children's Hospital Patients

BOSTON (CBS) -- It's becoming one of the best Halloween traditions in Boston. Every year as Oct. 31 approaches, Boston Bruins players dress up and put a smile on the faces of patients at Children's Hospital.

Last year, team members arrived in a "Despicable Me" getup. In 2014, they were the cast of "Frozen." And on Thursday, David Pastrnak, Brandon Carlo, Torey Krug, John-Michael Liles, Danton Heinen and Brad Marchand donned "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle" outfits to visit the kids.

Marchand stood out as Splinter the rat.

The goal was to have fun with kids stuck spending Halloween in the hospital, and it looked to be a big success.

The players went room-to-room to deliver goodie bags, pose for pictures and sign autographs.
