4 Hurt In Ambulance Crash In Dorchester

BOSTON (CBS) – Four people were hurt when an ambulance crashed early Tuesday morning in Dorchester.

Boston EMS said three EMTs were in the ambulance heading to a call when it collided with an SUV on Blue Hill Avenue at Quincy Street near the Roxbury line around 4:30 a.m. There was no patient in the ambulance.

The EMTs and the driver of the SUV were taken to a hospital with what were described as "non-life-threatening injuries."

There's no word yet on what caused the crash or if any charges will be filed.
