'Boomtown' Items From Rex Trailer's Estate Up For Auction

BOSTON (CBS) - Nearly 20 years' worth of memories will go on sale Sunday when an auction house sells off pieces of "Boomtown."

The items are all from the estate of Rex Trailer, the beloved TV cowboy who died two years ago at the age of 84.

"Boomtown" ran on WBZ-TV from 1956 until 1974.

Some of the items up for bid include Trailer's cowboy hats, boots and suits.

There's also a book of "riding lessons" put together for the show and the rotating barrel Trailer used to pick out the names of contest winners.

The bidding starts Sunday at 10 a.m. at Kaminski Auctions on Elliott Street in Beverly.
